Description

The Newport Model 4832-C Multi-Channel Optical Power Meter is a PC plug-in card based instrument designed to give high performance and throughput in multi-channel measurement applications using semiconductor detectors. The Model 4832-C provides an exceptional combination of measurement accuracy and speed. This is accomplished by means of the unique distributed system architecture, which provides high speed communication with the PC backplane while protecting the sensitive analog measurements from the noisy PC environment. Dual A/D converters are provided so that measurements can be tailored to the speed and accuracy requirements of the application. A high performance processor on the PC plug-in card handles all of the instrument ranging and data acquisition overhead.
