Description
The 600 Series LINK Interfaces are buffered, digital interface modules containing four independent RS232 ports for instrument interfacing and IEEE-488/RS232 communication ports for host communication. Each LINK module can service a single LC system or up to three independent gas chromatographs (limited to 2 model types). For GC’s, each RS232 port is capable of receiving two digital detector signals. Digital data acquired from instruments are buffered in the dynamically allocated RAM memory analogous to the PerkinElmer NCI/900A Series Interfaces. CSA, TUV, EMI, and CE-mark certified. Each interface requires, but does not include, one IEEE or RS232 interface cable, plus the appropriate number and type of RS232 cables for supported instruments.

All TotalChrom systems utilize PerkinElmer Intelligent Interfaces to connect each chromatography system to the data system PC. Each interface contains buffered RAM memory to maintain data collection in the event that the PC or PC network becomes inoperative during data acquisition. Data from instruments is never lost and chromatograph productivity is preserved.

Digital chromatographs connect to TotalChrom through the Model 600 Series LINK Intelligent Interfaces. Multiple instruments can be connected to each LINK interface via the four serial ports included on each interface. Each port is capable of receiving signals from two detectors per chromatograph. In addition to collecting digital detector data, LINK interfaces also provide instrument control capability.
