This Agilent / HP 86143B Portable Standard Performance Optical Spectrum Analyzer is used, and in excellent condition.

• Optical Interface: FC/PC
• Opt 006: Wavelength Calibrator - The wavelength calibrator option provides an onboard wavelength reference that can be used to automatically calibrate the optical spectrum analyzer. The calibrator is based on an EELED and an Acetylene gas absorption cell. The wavelength calibrator enhances the OSA to achieve better than ±10 pm wavelength accuracy and removes the need to use a tunable laser source and multi-wavelength meter as an external reference.

Description

The Agilent 86143B is a portable optical spectrum analyzer for 50 GHz applications. The 86143B maintains most of the higher performance characteristics of the 86142B/86145B models while providing measurement solutions at value prices. This OSA has all the performance capabilities of its larger sibling, the 86140B, while having a smaller 12.8" x 16.8" footprint and weighing 31 lbs. The 86143B is ideal for both field and factory use, particularly in high level system installation or situations where space is limited. With the 86143B you can quickly, easily and accurately characterize 50 GHz and wider WDM systems, optical sources and broadband components with its enhanced marker functionality, integrated power measurement capability and fast sweep speed.

What is the difference between the 8614xA series and the 8614xB series Optical Spectrum Analyzer?
Agilent replied with: The 8614xB series has higher wavelength accuracy +/-10 pm (8614xA series is +/-25 pm) and faster trace updates than the 8614xA series. The GPIB command is the same. Built-in Applications are also the same, if updating 8614xA firmware.
