The Agilent 81100A Series of programmable pulse generators are highly accurate one or two channel pulse generators. They provide clean, accurate pulses with excellent repeatability. Timing changes are free of glitches and drop outs, even at the maximum frequencies of 50 or 80 MHz. These pulse generators also features fast, variable transition times, flexible amplitudes and duty cycles.
The Agilent 81100A family generates all of the standard pulses needed to test current logic technologies (CMOS, TTL, ECL, etc). You can save test settings and program the 81101A or 81104A for automated test routines. In addition, the 81101/04A’s programs can be used on other pulse/pattern generators in the 81100A family.
The 81101A features a clear graphical display, autoset, help, store/recall. Preset TTL/ECL levels, selectable units (such as current/voltage, width/duty-cycle), and load compensation. Values can be entered , exceeding the specified range, to fully exploit the hardware limits. The user interface includes warning messages, error messages, help key and non-volatile memory for nine settings.
The 81104A 80 MHz Pulse/Pattern Generator also generates all the standard pulses and digital patterns (CMOS, TTL, LVDS, ECL etc.). With the optional second channel, multi-level and multi-timing signals up to 60 MHz can be generated using the internal channel addition feature. Pragmatically, channel 2 can be added to channel 1 internally (In this case the second output is disabled.) The additional fixed delay on the second channel is typically 2.5 ns.
Level parameters can be entered as voltage or current, as high and low level, or as offset and amplitude. The output provides continuous pulses, double pulses or bursts (single or double pulses). One input (BNC connector at rear panel) is used for clock input or alternatively for PLL.
The 81101A and 81104A belong to the Agilent 81100 family of pulse/pattern generators which feature the same programming and user interfaces that are compatible with the well-established 8110A.
